The Story
Sola
Sola's story revolves around Morimiya Yorito, the main protagonist, who is a young boy attending high school. He loves taking pictures of the sky at any time of day and any time of the year. One day, Yorito decides to take a picture of the sunrise overlooking the bay, but is deterred when he meets a strange girl trying to force a vending machine that stole her money to give her what she tried to buy a can of tomato juice. Yorito helps her with forcing the machine while attempting to strike up conversation with her, despite it being four in the morning. Yorito tells her why he is here, but by the time he has forced the can out of the machine, the girl has mysteriously vanished.
The next day, Yorito goes to visit his older sister Aono in the hospital with his friend Mana and Mana's little sister Koyori. Despite it being Aono's birthday, Yorito leaves soon after to take a photograph of the setting sun near an old church on the roof of the hospital. That night, Yorito leaves to buy groceries when it begins to rain and stops on the way home to wait for the rain to stop; while waiting, he runs into the strange girl he met from yesterday again. They talk longer this time and Yorito finally learns her name is Shiho Matsuri. A few days later, Yorito goes looking for the girl in the old church and finds a man wielding a sword before Matsuri.
After a display of Matsuri's astounding powers, Yorito discovers that she is in fact a creature known as a "Calamity of the Night" (Yoru no Wazawai), who has lived for centuries. She is being chased by Takeshi who intends to kill her, but Yorito tries to protect her by bringing her back to his home which is when Yorito asks her to stay with him for the time being.
A "Calamity of the Night", otherwise known as a Yaka is a supernatural being in the Sola story. Yaka have many supernatural powers, such as: a strong physical ability, fast regeneration, and never aging body, among other powers. A Yaka is hurt by direct exposure to sunlight, but the wound can be healed in time if the exposure is not excessive; a Yaka is otherwise immortal unless exposed to too much sunlight or has received fatal wounds. Matsuri explains that a Yaka is the embodiment of human agony and pain and that such creatures are meant to always be alone.

I still think that vectoring is quite hard... or you can say... time taking...
I get
really happy too when I finish one art~ But then what awaits me is more work
Next time I will challenge myself! 
I think that the coloring is easier too, but color the outline makes me think that I outlined the image twice...

think I'll give it a chance when things calm down. Plus I don't want it to be
the case of Death Note: I got the first 15 episodes as a batch (downloaded them)
and had to wait each Tuesday to get the rest up to 37 
That's
because they subbed one each week.
You know, I used to think that vector was hard too but I changed my mind when I got to work at it again. You see, the outline was already done and that's what makes it easier - for me, coloring has always been easier than outlining. I was happy when I finished it, one less project on the list

not a fan of overly decorated vectors (unless they look really, really
good).
I like your vectors because they're clean and simple

I don't know why, I sense repulsion for popular series. The more people say
"it's great, you have to watch it!", the more I want to keep away from
it ._. I like how C.C. looks though, she's really pretty ^^
I fully agree! What's the point of rushing a work if you don't have a deadline to meet? It'll turn out nasty anyway

I vector fast?! Lol, you don't know this, but my latest vector (the FMP one - link in my sig) took me 4 months to complete! I forgot about it or wasn't in the mood for it so it just stood there in my folder, patiently waiting for the day I'd pick it up again
Which I did.

Oh yea... Lots of people vector CG sans... Like the CG scan that you've vectored for Yoru? There's some else who vectored it... Vectors look kinda a like but not vector + background =3 That's why I'm now trying to not to merely just make the vector but also a background for it~ ^^

Lol I just went through my Code Geass folder (I didn't watch it but I like the way some characters are drawn) and realized it's almost full of C.C. images (mostly vectors)! The double vectoring thing happened with my Code Geass vector and I learned my lesson: NEVER vector scans from currently-popular anime series! Someone else is bound to be vectoring it as well and it's not pleasant to see 2 vectors of the same image, even if they are different

Take
the Sola wallpaper I announced in my UP for example. I think I haven't been
working on it for at least a week! Normally it would take me at most 2 days to
finish it but I'm starting a lot of projects at the same time and it's difficult
to keep up with all of them
